Help & guide

A quick walkthrough of the core workflow, plus answers to common questions.

The core workflow

  1. Add a site — name, address, and jurisdiction (this determines which standards the AI report references, and the language it's written in), plus how often it needs inspecting.
  2. Add devices — every device you'll inspect at the site: fire extinguishers, sprinkler heads, alarm panels, exit signs, emergency lighting, smoke detectors, pull stations, standpipes, kitchen hood suppression systems.
  3. Start an inspection — from the site page, once it has at least one device.
  4. Record each device — mark its condition (pass / fail / needs service), add a voice or typed note, and attach a photo.
  5. Complete the inspection — once every device is recorded. A draft report starts generating automatically in the background.
  6. Review the report — it's marked SAMPLE and lists any citation that needs manual verification. Always check these and have a qualified inspector sign off before sending it to a client, then download it as a PDF.

Staying on top of due dates

The dashboard shows every site's status (overdue / due soon / up to date), sorted by urgency. If email reminders are configured, you'll also get an email when a site becomes due or overdue.

Account & security

  • Use "Forgot password?" on the login page if you're ever locked out.
  • Enable two-factor authentication under Security settings for extra protection — you'll need an authenticator app (e.g. Google Authenticator, Authy).
  • Download a copy of your data or permanently delete your account anytime under Privacy & data.

Language

Switch between English and Swedish anytime with the language switcher. AI-generated reports are always written in the language tied to the site's jurisdiction (English for California, Swedish for Sweden), regardless of your own display language.

FAQ

Is the AI-generated report ready to send to a client?

No. It's explicitly marked SAMPLE and must be reviewed by a qualified, licensed inspector — any bracketed citation must be verified before the report is used.

What if voice input doesn't work in my browser?

Type your note instead — voice input is just a faster way to fill the same field where it's supported.

What happens to my data if I delete my account?

Everything tied to your account — sites, devices, inspections, reports, and uploaded photos — is permanently removed. This can't be undone.

Can I use this for jurisdictions other than California and Sweden?

Not yet — each jurisdiction needs to be explicitly configured so the AI report references real, correct standards. More can be added over time.
